Resistance bands are a popular training tool to target the lower body muscles, mainly the glutes. Strengthening the glutes is incredibly important for the longevity of our joints and health in general. The biggest muscle in the human body, glutes maximus, is mainly responsible for maintaining our posture. Training the glutes is also a great injury prevention for the lower limbs because a stronger glutes is more likely to keep our legs aligned while running and changing directions for instance. A resistance loop is cheap and convenient way to compliment your workout.
